The Led Zeppelin reunion is another screw job too. I heard somebody on the radio, saying that T-shirts sell for the insane price of $4,000.00

The whole industry is turning into a rip-off monopolized by 3rd Party ticket brokers, who can't even really guarantee, that what you buy from a private party advertising on those sites is legit either. I've said before than only the artists, promoters and their chosen agents should be permitted to sell tickets to their own shows. The others should be taxed out of business by the IRS or banned by Congress!

Parents paid $2,000.00 each for tickets so their kids could see the latest Hannah Montana fad artist at MSG. What a bunch of BS.

Thank God the Grateful Dead is history. You guys don't even wanna think about the prices that you'd be paying for tickets now. A scalper's $500.00 tickets to a New Years eve show would be dirt cheap at current prices...

I actually believe it was the Dead and other like minds that possibly stemmed the tide of greed in the music ticketing world long enough for us wee folk to enjoy it. I'd like to see a nice bar graph of average ticket price increases after 95 compared to price increases the previous 20 years.

GDM operated their own ticket service. They didn't tolerate some of those scalpers on their conceret sites either. It was no problem, when two of us purchased a pair of tickets in the lot at regular prices. The guy was able to score some weed with that money too. It worked out for everybody involved...

In my memory it was the heads themselves that didn't tolerate scalpers also. While GDTS had their mail order outlet there was always a local sales outlet which often got abused buy the scalping mafia. The biggest detriment to those guys who'd try to scalp tickets at a dead show was that the Heads themselves would mostly refuse to pay crazy prices. That's how it seemed to me anyway. However I do remember hearing about people who knew no better buying tickets through these so called ticket agents at crazy prices only to find out there were plenty of tickets available at the the show for cost.

LOL! Count room, that's funny. What can I say? My daughter loves that shit, I'd want to take her. And being that I've seen Clapton three times I'd probably trade for her to go.
